New York Knicks guard Jaylon Brunson (28) and Houston Rockets center Alferen Schenguin (22) were named the 2024-25 NBA Week MVP.
On the 3rd, the NBA Secretariat selected Brunson at the Eastern Conference and Schenguin as weekly MVP at the Western Conference.
Brunson had 26.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 9.8 assists in four games last week, spearheading his team’s 3-1 victory. He is the sixth MVP of his career. Brunson had a 54.7 percent success rate for field goals during the week and 52.4 percent (11/21). He had a career-high 17 assists in the game against Denver on June 26. In the game against Dallas on Monday, he scored 37 career-tying points, showing stellar performance. With Brunson at the forefront, the Knicks have continued their seven wins and two losses in their recent nine games.
